In class I learned about copyright. I learned that if you copy write, then you will have a chance of being fined or going to jail. I learned some of this before, so this was not a big shock to me. I think the consequences are reasonable because you shouldn't steal. I have never stolen someones belongings and hope no one else does.
In a way I guess images are belongings but in reality these are works created by people.
